COVID-19: Nigeria’s tally Stands at 6, 401
The total number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigeria climbed to 6,401 after the Centre for Disease Control announced 226 fresh cases on Tuesday night.
The death toll from the virus also increased to 192, after one new fatality was confirmed by the public health agency.
On the bright side, 90 persons who have fully recovered have been discharged from isolation.
It means total recoveries countrywide now stands at 1,734
The 226 new cases were recorded in 15 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with Lagos accounting for over half (131) of the fresh cases.
