Nigeria COVID-19 Cases Rise to Nearly 6,000


Nigeria now has nearly 6,000 confirmed coronavirus infections and 182 deaths, the Centre for Disease Control tweeted.

The NCDC on Sunday night reported 388 new cases, raising the total number to 5,959.

While, an additional 6 people died from the virus in the last 24-hours.

According to the latest figure, recoveries have also climbed to 1,594, with 122 patients discharged in the past 24-hours, the public health agency added.

Of the fresh cases, 177 was recorded in Lagos and 64 in Kano.

21 new cases was recorded in the FCT, 16 in Rivers, 14 in Plateau and 11 in Oyo.

Katsina has 9 fresh cases, while 4 new cases each in Jigawa and Kaduna States.

Abia, Bauchi and Borno States recorded 3 new cases each.

2 each in Gombe, Akwa Ibom and Delta States respectively.

1 new case each in Ondo, Kebbi and Sokoto States.
