Actor,Ibrahim Chatta Pranks his Fans,Post Photo of himself ‘Critically Sick’
Popular Yoruba actor, Ibrahim Chatta, on Saturday prank his fans announcing that he was critically sick with uploaded picture of himself in a hospital bed.
The picture showed the actor on a bed, receiving intravenous drip medications in what appeared to be an intensive care unit of a hospital.
Chatta made the claim on his Instagram account (@ibrahimchatta_lordthespis) which has one million and two hundred thousand (1.2M) followers, with a simple caption Please stay safe’.
The picture which was reportedly taken while the actor was on a movie set immediately went viral, eliciting reactions from several of his followers, colleagues and fans.
Many fans offer their prayers and get-well-soon messages while others were of the opinion that the picture is probably from a recent movie scene the actor is working on.
Even the Alaafin of Oyo called to check up on the actor.
However, in other to clear the air on the matter, Ibrahim Chatta went on his Instagram account to offer his own side of the story. He titled it ‘My response’.
Chatta appreciated all those who were concerned about his health and wished him well.
“I pray you all will not fall sick, I am really grateful to all my fans and well-wishers who took out time to call and check on me most especially from the palace of Alaafin”, he said.
“It was just a prank, I’m on set for a new movie and I just thought of the prank. I am not sick. I love you all.”
He also called on those in the filmmaking industry to be more concerned about the health of their colleagues as the lack of concern might lead to death.
He jokinkgly lambasted some of his colleagues for jumping into conclusion, he specifically mentioned Afis Owo and Jaiye Kuti.
He also mentioned one Bimbo whom he claimed was in the know of the ‘video prank’.
He, however, thanked everybody that offered prayers, even those correcting the positioning of the drips in the picture.
