Nigeria COVID-19 Cases Rise by 90, deaths by 5


The total number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria now stands at 56,478 as the Centre for Disease Control reported 90 new infections, including 33 fresh cases in Lagos.

The public health agency said 93 more patients recovered in the past 24 hours, pushing the number of recoveries to 44,430.

The number of death rose 5 on Tuesday, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,088.

NCDC report reads: ‘’On the 15th of September 2020, 90 new confirmed cases and 5 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

‘’Till date, 56478 cases have been confirmed, 44430 cases have been discharged and 1088 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

‘’The 90 new cases are reported from 8 states- Lagos (33), Plateau (27), Kaduna (17), Ogun (6), FCT (4), Anambra (1), Ekiti (1), Nasarawa (1).
